Learning the Al-Qur'an from an early age is crucial for building children's moral, spiritual, and cognitive foundations. However, observations in Otak Reban Hamlet, Pringgasela Village, revealed that many children still faced difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an fluently and read haltingly. This study aims to analyze the role of Universitas Hamzanwadi students in enhancing children's Al-Qur'an reading skills through a structured Quranic recitation mentoring program. The method used was participatory learning mentoring at TPQ Nurul Hidayah, which comprised preparation (observation and coordination) and implementation phases. The teaching approach applied structured learning (Iqro’/Qiroati), the talaqqi technique (listening and imitating), and consistent repetition (murajaah). The results showed significant improvements in two target groups. In the Iqro group, children became more fluent in connecting words, gained more confidence, and advanced to higher learning volumes. Meanwhile, in the Al-Qur'an group, there was a noticeable increase in tartil quality as well as accuracy in makhorijul huruf and basic tajwid rules. The presence of students effectively optimized the daily individual listening duration for each student and successfully addressed the shortage of teachers at the TPQ.
