PENDAMPINGAN PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS NASKAH PIDATO MELALUI PENDEKATAN DEEP LEARNING BAGI PESERTA DIDIK MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Deep Learning approach on the understanding of speech-writing skills among sixth-grade students at MI Al-Karim Gondang, Nganjuk. The study employed a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design to measure changes in students' abilities before and after the implementation of the Deep Learning approach. The sample consisted of 20 sixth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through writing skills tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the Paired Sample t-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that the students' average scores for speech-writing skills increased from 53.75 in the pretest to 72.00 in the posttest. Hypothesis testing yielded a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating that the Deep Learning approach had a positive and significant effect on the understanding of speech-writing skills among sixth-grade students. This improvement was evident in their ability to develop ideas, structure their writing, use appropriate diction, apply linguistic rules, and use Indonesian spelling correctly. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the Deep Learning approach encouraged students to become more active, critical, collaborative, and reflective during the learning process. Thus, the Deep Learning approach is a viable alternative for Indonesian language instruction to enhance speech-writing skills among students in *Madrasah Ibtidaiyah* (Islamic elementary schools).
