Abstract

Balanced nutrition in adolescents serves as a reference for consuming nutrients according to the body's needs, which can prevent various nutritional problems. The 2018 National Basic Health Research Survey reported that the rate of malnutrition in Indonesia remains quite high, with more than a quarter of adolescents aged 13–15 years experiencing stunting. One effort to address this problem is by changing eating behavior through nutrition education interventions. This study aims to determine the effect of health education using video media on adolescent girls at the Youth Posyandu in Ngledok Hamlet, Balepanjang Village, Baturetno Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique used was simple sampling with a total of 53 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a balanced nutrition questionnaire, and data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.000, so the hypothesis was accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of health education using video media on adolescent girls at the Youth Posyandu in Ngledok Hamlet, Balepanjang Village, Baturetno Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency.
