Abstract

Individual development is greatly influenced by innate factors (nature) within them, one of which is parental genetics. Apart from that, human development can also be influenced by the environment. Referring to these two theories, this research aims to examine the existence of innate and environmental influences on individual personal development from the perspective of the Koran and Al Hadith. The results of this paper show that hereditary and environmental factors play an important role in shaping individual development. The heredity factor is defined as the totality of a person's characteristics inherited from parents to their children or all the potential, both physical and psychological, that an individual has since the formation (conception) of the growth of the ovum by sperm, as inherited from the parents through genes. Meanwhile, the environment can influence the development of a person's personality through habituation, ethics and the way parents educate them, how they socialize with them, the teachers who teach them, what events or experiences they go through in everyday life, what religion their parents believe in, what their parents' personality, attitudes and outlook on life are like. , this will influence how and in what direction a person's personal formation is directed.
