The transition toward a green economy has significantly reshaped the relationship between environmental regulation and corporate sustainability. Legal frameworks are increasingly recognized as essential instruments for encouraging responsible business practices, improving environmental governance, and supporting sustainable economic development. This article examines how green economy legal frameworks contribute to enhancing corporate sustainability by integrating environmental protection with business strategy and governance. The study adopts a qualitative approach using a narrative literature review of international legal instruments, scholarly publications, and policy documents related to environmental law, corporate governance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, and sustainable business practices. The findings indicate that effective legal frameworks encourage corporate environmental responsibility, strengthen regulatory compliance, stimulate green innovation, and improve long-term business resilience and competitiveness. Furthermore, integrating environmental legal principles into corporate governance supports sustainable investment and enhances stakeholder trust. However, challenges remain, including regulatory fragmentation, inconsistent policy implementation, and varying institutional capacities across jurisdictions. The study concludes that adaptive and coherent green economy legal frameworks are fundamental to promoting corporate sustainability while advancing sustainable economic growth and achieving global environmental objectives.
