Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of rahn digitalization through the Tring! by Pegadaian application in supporting the financing needs of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at Pegadaian Syariah UPS Cibinong. It also analyzes how digital services contribute to financial access and identifies technological, user, and Sharia-related constraints in their implementation. A qualitative single-case study was conducted using purposive sampling involving seven informants: one marketing manager, two cashiers, and four MSME customers who actively use Tring!. Data were obtained from semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation and analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The assessment framework integrates information-system success, technology acceptance, financial-inclusion usage, and Sharia-compliance perspectives. The findings show that Tring! is functionally effective in simplifying access to account information, payment, pawn extension, and monitoring of obligations. Nevertheless, effectiveness remains uneven because biometric and e-KYC failures, unstable connectivity, incomplete Sharia-feature integration, and differences in digital literacy still require assisted service at the outlet. Rahn financing is perceived by the four MSME customers as useful for short-term business liquidity, but this study does not establish a causal increase in turnover or profit. Sharia conformity is reflected in the use of rahn and maintenance fees (mu'nah) rather than interest, while the operational tariff must be distinguished from the normative principles established by DSN-MUI fatwas. The study proposes an effectiveness framework based on access and use, system and service quality, user adaptation, MSME financing utility, and Sharia compliance
